What is the CND?

The body responsible for directing gravity downhill in Spain, both in elite competition and national activities.

The National Downhill Committee (CND) is the body responsible for directing this discipline and its sporting and promotional activities, both in elite competition and national activities.

The CND works to achieve the following objectives:

    Provide downhill practitioners with medical and federation guarantees through the licence and medical insurance.

    Regulate the sport at national level.

  3. 03

    Create the National Circuit, the Spanish Championships and the National Team.

  4. 04

    Develop high-performance centres across different autonomous communities.

    Run high-performance call-ups and national-team training camps.

  6. 06

    Promote downhill across Spain.

  7. 07

    Promote downhill, skating schools and club culture.

    Work with institutions to de-stigmatise the sport.

    Work with institutions to open new downhill areas across the country.

    Help downhill take a step up institutionally so it becomes a recognised sport.

    Work on training at every level — riders, coaches and judges alike.

    Run Sports Coach courses in downhill across the three levels.

    Run judge-training courses.
